What are Modules for instructors?
As we understand the power and wide array of functionality Canvas offers, we believe this practice of modeling the product to you is vital - as it will allow you to have a clearer vision of how a blended learning environment can be established. Although this course will operate as a true online course, it is not uncommon for F2F (face to face) classroom teachers to establish an environment such as this.
Instead of showing all of this to you in a sit-down meeting, why not have you practice some pajama PD? After all, isn't your time important to you? Do you want your teachers to buy in to their learning management system? Here is your first experience to see why they will love Canvas.
You will begin this course by working through modules... A module is just another way to organize material. A single module could represent a week in a grading term (1st 6 weeks: week 1), a Unit of Study (Unit 1: Transformation of America), or an entire grading term with headers to separate topics.
